6.7 Types of mains<br />

Depending on the diagram of the electric energy distribution circuit, there<br />

are three types of mains: TN, TT and IT.<br />

Depending on the type of mains, the cabling in the electrical cabinet will<br />

vary considerably.<br />

We here describe the characteristics and, later on, sample diagrams for a<br />

proper installation.<br />

Note that the diagrams provided here do not show the main contactor<br />

- KM1 that must be connected between the transformer or autotransformer<br />

and the DDS servo drive system.
