RKO IS Mins.
Good. A timely short about saiety
on the highways, made especially so
since the National Safety Council
announced the 1,000,000th death as a
result of a traffic accident. Fifty
million cars on a highway system
built to handle less than half that
number is today's real problem, this
short points out. Ninety per cent of
the people who travel between cities
ride in automobiles or go by bus.
This has some excellent shots of the
newest speed highways, including
the New Jersey Turnpike.

trucks and good roads are eliminating
the picturesque log drives, many
rivermen still work at this in Maine
and other states. In Machias, the
loggers work with pole and agility
to free the clogged logs which jam
the rivers. The men are shown eating
four meals a day, one of them
picnic lunches, because a log jam is
always a race against t'me. An
interest-holding short.
Pluto's Christmas Tree

is this new Technicolor cartoon
dealing with Mickey Mouse and
Pluto, the dog, at Christmas time.
It opens with a Christmas card,
