Figure 9 depict scenarios <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> future development of vkm driven <strong>for</strong> above describedscenario up to 2030. It can be seen that due to <strong>the</strong> st<strong>and</strong>ards vkm driven are higher thanin BAU-Scenario. As shown with <strong>the</strong> increasing fuel tax, travel activity could besignificantly reduced. However, <strong>the</strong> lower increase in vkm driven could be reached, asshown in Policy Scenario.The future development of energy consumption in four scenarios described above with<strong>and</strong> without rebound up to 2030 is shown in Figure 10.Due to <strong>the</strong> efficiency improvements increases in energy consumption are not as steep as<strong>for</strong> service, see Figure 10.
