The parallel development of two projects with two different teams seems to have a deep<br />

impact <strong>in</strong> the student’s experience acquisition. We have no complete evidence of the<br />

progress of team work behavior of the students, but the progress of the feedback<br />

comments through the semester is a good sign <strong>in</strong> this direction.<br />

The <strong>in</strong>novation aspect is present <strong>in</strong> the three projects but, especially <strong>in</strong> the endurance<br />

project. The presentation of the project´s proposal <strong>in</strong> the context of other similar projects,<br />

and the exhibition of the “functional prototypes” to a wide public are challeng<strong>in</strong>g and<br />

motivat<strong>in</strong>g to make the proposals more ambitious <strong>in</strong> the <strong>in</strong>novation aspects.<br />

We should do a more rigorous evaluation of teamwork and <strong>in</strong>novation <strong>in</strong> this freshman<br />

course, <strong>in</strong> order to have more evidences of the impact <strong>in</strong> the “behavior” of the same<br />

students as “advanced students and professionals”.<br />
