In this case a Bachelor should solve the task with choice and usage of nonstandard<br />

components apply<strong>in</strong>g it <strong>in</strong> the most optimal manner.<br />

The characteristic “embraces various groups of stakeholders with wide range of<br />

requirements, controversial among them” refers to the objects of eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g activity <strong>in</strong><br />

sphere of technology, as a rule, of general application, that are consumed by various<br />

branches of <strong>in</strong>dustry. The characteristic “has significant contextual consequences” means<br />

that solv<strong>in</strong>g a complex eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g problem <strong>in</strong>fluences not only technology, but related<br />

economics, ecology and social area as well.<br />

The characteristic “is compound and multicomponent” is connected to the existence of<br />

factors <strong>in</strong>fluenc<strong>in</strong>g the solution of the complex eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g problem. For <strong>in</strong>stance, new<br />

technical object is created by a Bachelor <strong>in</strong> accordance with the technical enquiry,<br />

conta<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g the requirements to its basic characteristics with the whole range of<br />

limitations.<br />

Solution of Innovative Eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g Problems<br />

The notion “specialized” refers to the problem of the relatively narrow sphere of knowledge.<br />

The notion “does not have an unequivocal decision, requires deep analysis and design of<br />

sophisticated models” means that to solve <strong>in</strong>novative eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g problem both a Master<br />

and a Specialist uses the methods of optimisation and mathematical models on the basis of<br />

differential or <strong>in</strong>tegral equations systems to f<strong>in</strong>d out the best possible decision.<br />

The notion “requires <strong>in</strong>terdiscipl<strong>in</strong>ary basis and comb<strong>in</strong>ation of deep fundamental and<br />

applied knowledge and its usage <strong>in</strong> “unexpected manner” means, for example, that a<br />

technical object of a new type is created by Master or Specialist due to the application of<br />

<strong>in</strong>novations <strong>in</strong> design (mechanics), operat<strong>in</strong>g scheme (electrical eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g, electronics),<br />

application of new materials (material science), etc., comb<strong>in</strong>ation of which provides<br />

synergetic effect. As a rule, both a Master and a Specialist deal with non-typical problems<br />

when design<strong>in</strong>g new technical objects and new components.<br />

The notion “is usually focused on target group of stakeholders” concerns <strong>in</strong>novative<br />

eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g activities of both a Master and a Specialist when design<strong>in</strong>g technical objects of<br />

a new type <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g special ones, developed for application <strong>in</strong> certa<strong>in</strong> technical devices<br />

and technological <strong>in</strong>stallations for the customers <strong>in</strong> particular branches of <strong>in</strong>dustry. The<br />

notion “has critical contextual consequences” means that the solution to the <strong>in</strong>novative<br />

eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g problem improves methods and technologies qualitatively, chang<strong>in</strong>g their<br />

essence, and related economy, ecology, social life, etc.<br />

The notion “multilevel” refers to <strong>in</strong>novative eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g problems which are solved on the<br />

basis of various levels problem solution. For example, a technical object of a new type can be<br />

designed by both a Master and a Specialist due to the application of new materials<br />

preserv<strong>in</strong>g the design, scheme, and so on. All this requires the solution to the sophisticated<br />

problems of the material science (complex mathematical models and physical experiments)<br />
