In <strong>2011</strong>, the standardization process, through process redesign, of the periodicity of the<br />

assessment and the tools used to it began. All eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g programs, to date, are<br />

implement<strong>in</strong>g the redesigned model and us<strong>in</strong>g rubrics for assessment of program<br />

outcomes.<br />

The periodicity of the assessment of program outcomes, will be conducted <strong>in</strong> a manner<br />

that concentrates efforts on a more focused and precise assessment; <strong>in</strong> the previous<br />

model, every program outcome of each academic program each semester was evaluated<br />

twice a year, but from now they will be evaluated over a period of one year, so that <strong>in</strong> each<br />

semester half will be assessed and <strong>in</strong> the follow<strong>in</strong>g academic semester it will be<br />

completed. Based on the rubrics that were established, every program outcome is<br />

assessed <strong>in</strong> the selected courses us<strong>in</strong>g outcome-specific assignments or tasks (<br />

gather<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>formation such as surveys, <strong>in</strong>terviews, and focus group are be<strong>in</strong>g prioritized<br />

and redesigned, and courses for faculty tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> modern methods of evaluation are<br />

be<strong>in</strong>g designed.<br />

It is expected with the above actions to br<strong>in</strong>g the system of quality assurance <strong>in</strong> education<br />

at a level of optimization and self-regulation that ensures susta<strong>in</strong>ability over time.<br />
