GENEVA - Swiss officials on
FridaX described as "wholly inadequate'
France's explanation for its
decision to expel to Tehran two
Iranians wanted on murder charges
in Switzerland.
In an unusually vehement reaction,
the Swissjustice minister, Arnold
Koller, expressed "anger and
disappointment:' at France's decision
to send thé suspects, Mohsen
Sharif Esfahani and Ahmed Taheri,
home "despite a formal promise
of extradition to Switzerland."
The two Iranians, arrested at
Befn's request in Paris in 1992,
were wanted by Switzerland for the
1990 murder in Geneva of an Iranian
dissident, Kazem Rajavi. Mr.
Rajavi was the brother of MlISSOUd
Rajavi, who heads the Iranian opposition
group Mujahidin Khalq,
which is based in Iraq.
