of the state's <strong>de</strong>termination to insist on its militarist<br />

approach to the Kurdish problem.<br />

On Sunday, Hürriy<strong>et</strong> said DefenseMinister Mehm<strong>et</strong> Golhan's<br />

of circumstances conflicted with the prime minister's assurance<br />

"He is also said to have or<strong>de</strong>red them to use this particular<br />

<strong>de</strong>cision as a weapon against Çiller."<br />
