Specialist worked<br />

together to ensure that<br />

data for the Enrollment<br />

Information System<br />

file were complete,<br />

accurate, and<br />

consistent for all<br />

parameters including<br />

race/ethnicity, gender,<br />

attendance status,<br />

citizenship, degree<br />

sought, student level,<br />

etc. The total<br />

enrollment of African<br />

American students as a<br />

percentage of all<br />

students enrolled in the<br />

fall was determined.<br />

This percentage was<br />

checked by the<br />

Director of IRPA<br />

before being signed-off<br />

by the SEAP.<br />

Based upon the 2007<br />

cohort of full-time,<br />

first-time students as<br />

reported to MHEC and<br />

the USM, the<br />

Programmer Specialist<br />

tracked this cohort in<br />

the fall of 2008 to<br />

determine the number<br />

that had returned,<br />

expressed as a<br />

percentage of the<br />

original cohort. This<br />

second year retention<br />
