Any XML document is composed of a series of entities, with each<br />

entity containing one or more logical elements and each element<br />

containing one or more attributes that describe how <strong>to</strong> process that<br />

entity. XML defines the syntax for expressing the relationships among<br />

entities, elements and attributes that <strong>to</strong>gether make up an XML document.<br />

Based on these relationships, applications identify the component parts<br />

of each document.<br />
