Supports encryption<br />

The data involved in <strong>B2B</strong> e-<strong>commerce</strong> is highly sensitive and should be<br />

protected from getting hacked or corrupted. The XML/EDI server should<br />

support encryption software <strong>to</strong> decrypt incoming data, encrypt outgoing<br />

data and authenticate both.<br />

Strong error handling<br />

Given the distributed nature of <strong>B2B</strong> applications, the XML/EDI server<br />

should have a robust error handling mechanism which captures all<br />

networking, application level and data errors. The error handling functionality<br />

should include the ability <strong>to</strong> capture errors in the error log and <strong>to</strong><br />

notify the person(s) concerned.<br />

Allow trading partner configuration<br />

The XML/EDI server should provide an easy <strong>to</strong> use trading partner<br />

configuration <strong>to</strong>ol. Through this <strong>to</strong>ol, companies will be able <strong>to</strong> easily configure<br />

their trading partner profiles such as specific business documents,
