Query order status — PIP3A5
Supplier
PIP3A5 specifies a process for querying and receiving the order status
(see Figure 7.6). The status of the purchase order informs a requesting
partner of the fulfillment and shipping status of the products in the
order. For example, products in the purchase order request may be
backordered, shipped, or the entire purchase order canceled.
1. The buyer requests status of the product order.
2. The supplier acknowledges the request.
3. The supplier responds with the status that reflects the current state of
the purchase order at the time of the request.
4. The buyer acknowledges the response.
RosettaNet implementation framework
The RosettaNet implementation framework is an open and common
framework for partners and solution providers to implement computer
solutions that can collaboratively execute RosettaNet complaint PIPs.
Its specifications include authentication, authorization, encryption and
non-repudiate implementation aspects that are necessary for conducting
secure electronic business over the Internet.
This framework enables the creation of networked applications across
corporate boundaries and executes electronic business processes by
communicating via strictly defined protocols.
