webMethods <strong>B2B</strong> solution supports X.509 digital certificates, which<br />

ensure that business services are accessed and data transactions are<br />

initiated only by known and specified partners, HTTP Authentication,<br />

Access Control Lists (ACLs), Secure Socket Layer (SSL) support and<br />

RSA-based public key encryption of data. These capabilities permit secure<br />

connections <strong>to</strong> Web servers running SSL and also protect communications<br />

between the webMethods <strong>B2B</strong> Server and your trading partners.<br />

Netfish XDI server<br />

Netfish XDI Server enables routing of outbound requests through an<br />

SSL proxy server. Inbound requests can also enforce either server-side<br />

SSL authentication or mutual (server and client) SSL authentication<br />

(see Figure 10.18). The XDI Server supports importing digital certificates<br />

in standard formats such as PKCS#12 and PKCS#7 and allows trading<br />

partners <strong>to</strong> use distinct certificates for data encryption and signing.<br />
