Most of these companies also provide buyer and seller packages that<br />

integrate their exchanges with a corporation's enterprise resource planning<br />

(ERP) system.<br />

Buyer vs. supplier controlled e-marketplaces<br />

Supplier centric or e-distribution sites — Supplier centric markets are<br />

developed, managed and run by major suppliers, such as Cisco and<br />

Marshall. In such markets, one supplier offers goods or services <strong>to</strong><br />

several buyers (see Figure 15.4). It is the buyer's responsibility <strong>to</strong> do<br />

comparison-shopping.<br />

Buyer centric or e-procurement sites — Buyer centric markets are<br />
