I accounted for Cyprian's manner of writing- this person's
name, p. 127, and shall add nothing- more here.
Upon the Avhole it still appears to me highly probable
that Novatus was the name of the presbyter of Rome, Cornelius's
rival, and that Novatianus, or Novatian, is the
denomination of his followers.

notice of any difficulty in 3Ir. Jackson, I hope the
reader will find it obviated in the Note upon chap, xlvii. p.
