The Pauline Lewis Hayworth College
In addition to the traditional Undergraduate Program of day classes, Queens University of
Charlotte also offers a baccalaureate degree program and continuing education opportunities
through the Pauline Lewis Hayworth College.
Hayworth College serves working adults in the Charlotte area who wish to earn or complete
their degree attending classes in the evenings or on weekends. Some online classes are also
available. The degree requirements differ from those in the traditional program, as do some of
the services offered.
Through Hayworth College, the College of Arts & Sciences and the Schools of Business,
Communication, Education and Nursing offer a program of classes leading to the Bachelor of
Arts and Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees. Nine majors are offered.
• The College of Arts & Sciences offers majors in American Studies,
Computer Information Systems, English, Human and Community Services,
Interior Design and Psychology.
• The McColl School of Business offers the major in Business Administration.
• The Presbyterian School of Nursing offers the major in Nursing through
Hayworth College. However, all of the requirements for this major cannot
be completed in evening and weekend classes; clinical courses are
offered only during the day.
• The School of Education offers the major in Elementary Education, as well
as courses for teacher licensure. It is possible for a student to take all course
required for secondary licensure in English in Hayworth College.
• The School of Communication offers the major in Organizational Communication.
In addition the Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Radiologic Technology is available to
the student who is certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Hayworth College also admits students as non-degree candidates who wish to take courses
for personal or professional enrichment.
ADMISSION
Prospective students who are interested in a traditional undergraduate program of day classes

Program.
Hayworth College welcomes students who wish to begin college for the first time, complete
a first or second bachelor’s degree, or just take a particular course. Hayworth College recognizes
that an adult learner’s previous academic performance often cannot predict his or her
ability to be academically successful in the present. Motivated adult learners are therefore allowed
to demonstrate their ability to succeed in the challenging academic environment at
Queens, with continued enrollment contingent upon performance.
