49 Biology Major (BA) Requirements: For the major in Biology leading to the Bachelor of Arts degree students are required to complete 36 hours in Biology plus 14 hours in Chemistry and Mathematics. Requirements for a major in Biology leading to the BA degree are: Core courses: (18h) BIOL 208 Principles of Biology I (4 hrs.) BIOL 209 Principles of Biology II (4 hrs.) BIOL 360 Biology Seminar (3 hrs.) BIOL 402 Genetics (4 hrs.) BIOL 470 Biological Investigation (may be repeated once) (3 hrs.) General Track (18 h) BIOL 320 Zoology or BIOL 311 Botany Plus an additional 14 hours in the major chosen from courses numbered 300 or above.
