MUSC 157 Piano Class I<br />

Two weekly sessions <strong>of</strong> 50 minutes in which students are provided with basic introductory<br />

instruction in piano, designed to build technique, repertoire, sight-reading, harmonization,<br />

improvisation skills and ensemble playing skills. These courses serve as preparation for MUSC<br />

395 and 396 -Functional Piano I and II. Regular practice required. Prerequisites: Courses<br />

must be taken sequentially or by permission <strong>of</strong> the instructor. Fall Term. 1 Hr.<br />

MUSC 158 Piano Class II<br />
