The McColl School <strong>of</strong> Business<br />

The McColl School <strong>of</strong> Business educates students to become successful business and pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />

leaders who are competent, understand the importance <strong>of</strong> character and are committed<br />

to their communities.<br />

We seek to prepare individuals for careers by providing high quality, innovative undergraduate<br />

and graduate business education which provides students the opportunity to develop<br />

business and management abilities.<br />

We <strong>of</strong>fer a comprehensive set <strong>of</strong> educational programs and enrichment opportunities which<br />

serve as important educational resources for the <strong>Charlotte</strong> region and beyond. Our vision is to<br />

build a brand that identifies the McColl School name with “leadership.” We believe that organizations<br />

need leaders with integrity at all levels and that leadership can be learned. We also believe<br />

that beyond mastering basic business skills, students need to understand their own values<br />

and draw on their knowledge and values to influence people within their organizations and communities.<br />

We focus on leadership when recruiting faculty, developing curricular content and<br />

structure, connecting with our business community and conveying to our students the concepts<br />

<strong>of</strong> leadership in association with competence, character, and community.<br />

The McColl School <strong>of</strong>fers two programs leading to the Master <strong>of</strong> Business Administration<br />

(MBA) degree, and one program leading to the Master <strong>of</strong> Science (MS) degree in Organization<br />

Development.<br />

GRADUATE PROGRAMS<br />

Master <strong>of</strong> Business Administration Programs<br />

The McColl School <strong>of</strong> Business <strong>of</strong>fers two distinct programs leading to the Master <strong>of</strong> Business<br />

Administration (MBA) degree.<br />

The Pr<strong>of</strong>essional MBA program allows substantial flexibility in scheduling classes most <strong>of</strong><br />

which are <strong>of</strong>fered on weekday evenings. Depending on the number <strong>of</strong> credit hours completed<br />

each term, the PMBA program can be completed in two to three years.<br />

The Executive MBA program meets on alternating Fridays and Saturdays for twenty months.<br />

It is an intensive, integrated program in general management designed for people with substantial<br />

experience in managing people, assets or data.<br />

The McColl School <strong>of</strong> Business <strong>of</strong>fices are located in the Sykes Learning Center on the<br />
