Master <strong>of</strong> Science in Organization Development<br />

The Master <strong>of</strong> Science in Organization Development program (MSOD) is intended for working<br />

pr<strong>of</strong>essionals who are interested in designing and leading organizational change. Grounded<br />

in the behavioral and management sciences, the MSOD program provides students with an<br />

understanding <strong>of</strong> the dynamics <strong>of</strong> organizational culture change in organizational systems.<br />

Admission to the MS in Organization Development Program<br />

In order to be considered for admission as a degree candidate to the MSOD program, an<br />

applicant must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution and have five years<br />

<strong>of</strong> pr<strong>of</strong>essional work experience.<br />

Applicants must submit:<br />

• a completed graduate application form, including all essays.<br />

• a resume<br />

• satisfactory scores on the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or the Graduate<br />

Management Admissions Test (GMAT) taken within the last five years.<br />

• <strong>of</strong>ficial transcript(s) <strong>of</strong> all previous academic work beyond high school. It is the<br />

applicant's responsibility to have all transcripts sent directly from each institution<br />

attended to the McColl Graduate Admissions Office at <strong>Queens</strong> <strong>University</strong><br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>Charlotte</strong>.<br />

Applicants must also provide:<br />

• two letters <strong>of</strong> reference.<br />

• a non-refundable $75 application fee.<br />

International Students<br />

International students must also complete the admissions requirements found on page 24.<br />

GRADUATE PROGRAMS<br />

STUDENT STATUS<br />

Graduate status Full Graduate status is assigned to students who are pursuing a degree and<br />

who have met all admissions requirements, including a satisfactory undergraduate grade point<br />

average and an acceptable GMAT or GRE score.<br />

Admission on academic probation<br />

When an applicant to a program presents a marginal undergraduate record or test score, the<br />

admissions committee may admit that person on academic probation. Students admitted on<br />

cademic probation must meet the terms <strong>of</strong> probation set by their admission letter in order to be<br />

allowed to continue in the program.<br />

Admissions eligibility<br />

Acceptance to a graduate program will remain effective for one calendar year following the<br />

beginning <strong>of</strong> the term for which the acceptance has been made. Individuals who wish to enter<br />

after the one-year period are required to reapply, and the subsequent admission decision will<br />

be based on the existing admission standards at the time <strong>of</strong> reapplication.
