Satisfactory <strong>Academic</strong> Progress<br />

Students must show progress toward completion <strong>of</strong> degree requirements. After receiving a<br />

grade <strong>of</strong> No Record in a foundation course (and provided the student is otherwise in good<br />

standing), a student may retake/repeat the course only once. If the PMBA student does not<br />

pass the foundation course the second time, he/she will be ineligible to continue in the<br />

program.<br />

Graduation Requirements<br />

McColl students receive a degree only after meeting all <strong>of</strong> the program requirements. A grade<br />

point average <strong>of</strong> 3.00 or better is required. At the discretion <strong>of</strong> the MSB SQC, a student may<br />

be allowed to take additional course work to increase his/her grade point average. However, in<br />

no case will more than six extra hours (two courses) be allowed for the purpose <strong>of</strong> increasing<br />

the student's grade point average to the required level. The MSB SQC will determine the<br />

course work that is to be taken. No course with an assigned grade below C may apply toward<br />

degree requirements.<br />

Executive Master <strong>of</strong> Business Administration Program<br />

The Executive MBA at the McColl School <strong>of</strong> Business is a twenty-month learning experience<br />

rich in opportunities for personal and pr<strong>of</strong>essional growth. Program participants are experienced<br />

managers who refine and extend their skills and aptitudes to enhance their continued career<br />

development.<br />

The McColl School <strong>of</strong> Business <strong>of</strong>fices are located in the Sykes Learning Center on the<br />

<strong>Queens</strong> campus. Applications and further information can be obtained at<br />

ADMISSION<br />

The Admissions Committee seeks highly motivated applicants who have demonstrated success<br />

in management and who have the potential for significant additional responsibility.<br />

The Executive MBA program begins in September each year. Applicants may download the<br />

application materials at www.mccoll.queens.edu/EMBA/admissions.htm or request a hard copy<br />

be sent by the admissions <strong>of</strong>fice. Call 704 337-2248 to request the materials.<br />

In order to be considered for admission, an applicant must provide:<br />

1. a completed application form<br />

2. a non-refundable application fee ($75)<br />

3. a satisfactory score on the GMAT or GMAT waiver request (EMBA only)<br />

4. two letters <strong>of</strong> recommendation<br />

5. <strong>of</strong>ficial transcripts<br />

6. a personal statement<br />

7. a resume<br />

A personal interview with a Faculty Admissions Panel is required.<br />
