Probation and Federal Financial Aid<br />

A student admitted on probation or placed on probation by the U-SQC may only receive federal<br />

financial aid for one term.<br />

Readmission Following <strong>Academic</strong> Dismissal<br />

A student who has been academically dismissed from the <strong>University</strong> may apply for readmission.<br />

The student should attempt and successfully complete (C- or better in each course) 9 or more<br />

graded credit hours in a single semester at a regionally accredited institution; submit an application<br />

for readmission; submit <strong>of</strong>ficial transcripts showing the successful completion <strong>of</strong> these<br />

courses; submit a personal statement stating their goals and accomplishments since leaving<br />

<strong>Queens</strong>; and submit a memo to the Student Qualifications Committee stating why they want to<br />

return to <strong>Queens</strong>.<br />

A student readmitted to the <strong>University</strong> is normally admitted on probation and reviewed after<br />

the first term based on the guidelines above for Subsequent Reviews. Readmitted students are<br />

subject to the academic requirements in effect at the time <strong>of</strong> readmission (catalog <strong>of</strong> entry <strong>of</strong><br />

the term readmitted).
