94 THE UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM Requirements Secondary Education Licensure (9-12)* are: (*Licensure areas are Biology, English, History, Mathematics or Social Studies) Completion of a major in area in which licensure is desired. Course requirements in the major or additional to the major are noted below. Biology: Major in Biology English: Major in English including ENGL 207 & 320 and DRAM 231 or 233. History: Major in History. Must also complete POLS 201 or 250, ECON 203, SOCI 203 or 250. Mathematics: Major in Mathematics including MATH 206, 209, 304 and 311. Also recommended: PHYS 101 and 102 and CSCI 131. Social Studies: Major in History plus 21 credit hours in related social sciences including POLS 201 or 205, ECON 203 and SOCI 203 or 250. Plus: The concentration in Secondary Education 9-12 below Secondary Education (9-12) Concentration This concentration is open only to students majoring in Biology, English, History, Social Studies or Mathematics.
