the figure also illustrates the narrow range of consumption of the large majority of tanzanian<br />

households <strong>in</strong>dicat<strong>in</strong>g low levels of consumption <strong>in</strong>equality. this is reflected by results for the<br />

G<strong>in</strong>i coefficient, which shows that <strong>in</strong>equality <strong>in</strong> tanzania is low from an <strong>in</strong>ternational perspective<br />

<strong>and</strong> has hardly changed between 2000/01 <strong>and</strong> 2007 (table 37).<br />
