22 the ilfs uses a national def<strong>in</strong>ition of unemployment to <strong>in</strong>clude those who want to work but have not recently actively looked for work. other national surveys, such as<br />
hbs, also collect <strong>and</strong> present <strong>in</strong>formation on unemployment rates <strong>in</strong> tanzania. these surveys use the <strong>in</strong>ternational def<strong>in</strong>ition of unemployment which counts only those<br />
who are actively look<strong>in</strong>g for work.<br />
