results of the research department in this area, we need to create a simulati<strong>on</strong> model.<br />

MODULAR SYSTEM<br />

<strong>Logistics</strong> center is not generally <strong>on</strong>ly store or intermodal terminal. It links various<br />

systems which at first sight appear to be as independent <strong>and</strong> without any link to other systems.<br />

Thus it may seem self-reliance yard, said the warehouse, or an intermodal terminal. A<br />

simulati<strong>on</strong> model law prepared to tie these various comp<strong>on</strong>ents <strong>and</strong> systems to enable selfexaminati<strong>on</strong><br />

but mainly in relati<strong>on</strong> to other surrounding systems. Therefore, as the basic<br />

elements of the simulati<strong>on</strong> program modules will be an intermodal terminal, rail yard <strong>and</strong><br />

warehouse.<br />

PHASING OF THE PROJECT<br />

The project is planned to address all the time by various specialized activities:<br />

• 1st step is: Analysis of technological activities in various modules<br />

The basic task of this activity is a detailed descripti<strong>on</strong> of the parameters <strong>and</strong><br />

requirements for model simulati<strong>on</strong> technology, including development of detailed procedures<br />

of individual modules logistics center. Prepared requirements <strong>and</strong> parameters will serve as a<br />

baseline database for processing the simulati<strong>on</strong> model.<br />

• 2nd step: Implementati<strong>on</strong> of transport technology <strong>and</strong> logistics processes to the<br />

simulati<strong>on</strong> model<br />

In this activity will be followed implementati<strong>on</strong> previously described transport<br />

technologies <strong>and</strong> logistics processes within a specific software tool. This activity will bring<br />

together all the knowledge gained in the previous activity in the simulati<strong>on</strong> model, which will<br />

serve to verify <strong>and</strong> visual presentati<strong>on</strong> of research results to students <strong>and</strong> representatives of<br />

the practice of transport.<br />

• 3rd step: Testing of functi<strong>on</strong>al simulati<strong>on</strong> model<br />

This activity is intended to ensure testing <strong>and</strong> verifying the operati<strong>on</strong> of the<br />

simulati<strong>on</strong> model of the logistics center, according to various criterial requirements. At the<br />

same time, this activity reduces the likelihood of subsequent errors, respectively. emergency<br />

situati<strong>on</strong>s which could cause malfuncti<strong>on</strong> of the simulati<strong>on</strong> model.<br />
