Sokolov. Ve Stadicích « byl jejich přičiněním postaven v
CHATEAU TRMICE
The oldest reference to a feudal farm, owned by petty noblemen
of Trmice, dates back to 1264. The last of their Renaissance
mansions was
the Renaissance
chateau, demolished
in 1965. The
current chateau in
Trmice was built
upon the order of
Albrecht František
Nostic in 1856-63
subject to a design
by Heinrich Ferstel.
It is a four-wing
building with the
wings concentrated
around a central
yard with a
glass roof. The
dominant of the
structure is its prismatic
tower provided
with a battlement.
The appearance
of the chateau
is presumably
influenced by Italian
Renaissance
villa palaces. The
Stone Hall on the
ground-floor features
wall paintings by Alosi Bubák preserved from the original
interior.
The Nostics belonged to important Czech noble families. Apart
from Prague palaces they also owned a number of famous places
such as, for example, Libochovany, Průhonice and Sokolov
in West Bohemia. The Memorial of Přemysl the Ploughman
« , the founder of the first Czech ruling dynasty was built upon
their initiative in Stadice « in 1841. However, as early as at the
turn of the 18th and 19th century, the Nostics were one of
important sponsors of Czech culture and science. For example,
František Antonín Nostic had the first theatre built in Prague
in 1781 (also called the Nostic, later Estate Theatre). He
was one of the first people who had his children vaccinated and
had the first lightning conductors installed on his mansions. He
erbauen.
Libochovany
(Libochowan), Průhonice (Pruhonitz) oder das westböhmische
Sokolov (Falkenau). In Stadice (Staditz) « wurde im Jahre 1841
