STARÁ SPRÁVNÍ BUDOVA RAKOUSKÉHO SPOLKU PRO
CHEMICKOU A METALURGICKOU VÝROBU
Budova byla postavena pro potřeby administrativy Rakouského
spolku pro chemickou a metalurgickou výrobu. Spolek byl založen
ve Vídni v roce 1856. Výroba v Ústí nad Labem byla zahájena
již v roce 1857 a firma se
stala během druhé poloviny
19. století nejvýznamnější chemičkou
celého Rakouska,
také díky vůdčí osobnosti dlouholetého
ředitele Maxe Schaffnera
«.
Budovu v novogotickém slohu
postavil v roce 1895 architekt
Robert Langs. Hlavní vstup je
umístěn do přízemí věže budovy.
Nejpůsobivější částí budovy
je hlavní schodišťová hala s
řadou uměleckořemeslných
detailů a velkou nástěnnou
malbou. Autorem malby s alegorickým
vyobrazením
významných představitelů
firmy je malíř Josef Reiner,
který ji dokončil v roce 1900. V
prvním patře je zajímavý
dochovaný novogotický interiér
zasedací místnosti správní
rady s alegoriemi průmyslu a
monarchie od Josefa Reinera.
Původní administrativní budova
Spolku přestala plnit svůj
účel v roce 1931 a ve 30.
letech byla přestavěna na
výzkumné a zkušební laboratoře.
Roku 1952 převzal budovu
nově utvořený Výzkumný
ústav anorganické chemie,
který vlastní budovu dodnes.
OLD ADMINISTRATION BUILDING OF THE AUSTRIAN
ASSOCIATION FOR CHEMICAL AND METALLURGICAL
PRODUCTION
The building was built for the needs of the administration of
the Austrian Association for Chemical and Metallurgical Production
(Spolek). The company was
founded in Vienna in 1856. It started
producing in Ústí nad Labem as
early as in 1857 and the company
ranked as the most important chemical
plant in all of Austria during
the second half of the 19th century.
This was also thanks to the leading
personality of Max Schaffner « ,
who was the managing director for
many years.
The building in the New-Gothic style
was completed by architect Robert
Langs in 1895. The main entrance
is located in the tower ground-floor.
The most impressive part of the
building is the main hall with the
staircase and a number of artistic
details and a large wall painting.
The creator of the painting is Josef
Reiner, who completed it in 1900. It
depicts an allegory of the renowned
company representatives. The
first floor features an interesting
preserved New-Gothic interior of
the meeting room of the Board of
Directors, again with an allegory of
industry and monarchy by Josef
Reiner.
The original administration building
of Spolek could not meet its needs
any more in 1931, and in the
1930´s, it was rebuilt as research

and testing laboratories. In 1952,
the building was taken over by the
newly established Research Institute of Inorganic Chemistry,
which owns the building nowadays.
DAS ALTE VERWALTUNGSGEBÄUDE DES
ÖSTERREICHISCHEN VEREINS FÜR CHEMISCHE UND
METALLURGISCHE PRODUKTION
Das Gebäude ist für die Bedürfnisse der Verwaltung des Österreichischen
Vereins für chemische und metallurgische Produktion
gebaut worden. Der Verein selbst wurde im Jahre 1856 in
Wien gegründet. Mit einer Produktion in Ústí nad Labem ist
bereits im Jahre 1857 begonnen worden und die Firma konnte
während der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts zur bedeutendsten
Chemiefabrik von ganz Österreich aufsteigen,
außerdem auch dank der führenden Persönlichkeit des langjährigen
Direktors Max Schaffner «.
Das Gebäude im neugotischen Stil wurde im Jahre 1895 vom
Architekten Robert Langs gebaut. Der Haupteingang befindet
sich im Erdgeschoss des Gebäudeturmes. Zum wirkungsreichsten
Teil des Gebäude gehört die Treppenhalle mit einer Reihe
von Kunsthandwerkdetails und einem großen Wandgemälde.
Derjenige der dieses Gebäude mit einer allegorischen Illustration
von bedeutenden Vertretern der Firma war der Maler Josef
Reiner, der es im Jahre 1900 vervollständigte. Auf dem ersten
Stockwerk gibt es ein interessantes erhaltengebliebenes neugotisches
Interieur des Konferenzraumes des Verwaltungsrates,
wieder mit Allegorien der Industrie und der Monarchie von
Josef Reiner.
Das ursprüngliche Verwaltungsgebäude des Vereins hörte im
Jahre 1931 auf, seinen Zweck zu füllen, und in den 30er Jahren
wurde es zum Forschungs- und Prüfungslaboratorium umgebaut.
Im Jahre 1952 übernahm das neu eröffnete Forschungsinstitut
für anorganische Chemie das Gebäude; dieses besitzt das
Gebäude bis heute.
