NOVÁ SPRÁVNÍ BUDOVA SPOLKU PRO CHEMICKOU A
HUTNÍ VÝROBU
Nová správní budova Spolku pro chemickou a hutní výrobu v
Ústí nad Labem byla postavena v letech 1929-1930 světově
proslulou drážďanskou firmou Lossow a Kuhne. Ta v Ústí stavěla
také obchodní dům Jepa (dnes Sever) na Mírovém náměstí.
Nová správní budova patří k nejvýznamnějším stavbám expresionistické
architektury u nás. Patří ke stejnému stylu jako
například známý chicagský mrakodrap „Chicago Tribune“ v
USA. Na novogotickou architekturu staré správní budovy a areálu
firmy navazují stylizované opěráky, zatímco v dokonale propracovaném
interiéru najdeme četné prvky art déco nebo rondokubismu.
V době svého dokončení byla budova nejvyšší
stavbou v Československu.

The new administration building of Spolek pro chemickou a
hutní výrobu in Ústí nad Labem was built between 1929 and
1930 by the world renowned Dresden company Lossow and
Kuhne. They also built the Jepa department store (today’s
Sever) on Mírové Square in Ústí.
The new administration building is one of the most important
buildings of Expressionist architecture nationwide. It belongs to
the same style as, for example, the famous „Chicago Tribune“
skyscraper in the USA. The New-Gothic architecture of the old
administration building and the company premises link to the
styled abutment pillars, and in the perfectly worked out interior
we can find elements of Art Déco and Rondocubism. At the
time the building was accomplished, it was the tallest structure
in Czechoslovakia.
NEUES VERWALTUNGSGEBÄUDE DES VEREINS FÜR
CHEMIE- UND HÜTTENPRODUKTION
Das neue Verwaltungsgebäude des Vereins für Chemie- und
Hüttenproduktion in Ústí nad Labem wurde in den Jahren 1929-
1930 von der weltbekannten Dresdner Firma Lossow und
Kuhne. Diese baute auch das Aussiger Einkaufszentrum Jepa
(heute Sever) am Platz Mírové náměstí.
Das neue Verwaltungsgebäude gehört zu den bedeutendsten
Bauten der expressionistischen Architektur bei uns. Es gehört
zum gleichen Stil wie z.B. der bekannte Wolkenkratzer „Chicago
Tribune“ in Chicago in den USA. Zu der neugotischen Architektur
des alten Verwaltungsgebäudes und des Areals der
Firma schließen stilisierte Strebepfeiler an, während wir im vollkommen
durcharbeiteten Interieur zahlreiche Elemente von Art
déco oder Rondokubismus finden können. Zur Zeit der Fertigstellung
war das Gebäude der Höchste Bau in der Tschechoslowakei.
