ho ústeckého občana; i tak mu však sociální situace v Ústí nad
Labem nebyla lhostejná. V době krize v roce 1900 zavedl výrobu
briket z méně hodnotného, a tedy lacinějšího uhlí. Ve 30.
letech prodával městu uhlí pouze za režijní cenu, aby mohlo být
lacině poskytováno ústeckým nezaměstnaným. Rodina Petschků
také podporovala řadu sociálních a zdravotnických zařízení.
Z nejvýznamnějších donací lze jmenovat stavbu dětského pavilonu
ústecké nemocnice (1897), chlapecký výchovný domov Na
Kabátě (1911), ozdravovnu pro nemocné tuberkulózou (1913) či
mateřskou školku v Předlicích (1930 – 1931).

Heinrich Schicht byl členem významné rodiny ústeckých průmyslníků.
Od roku 1907 byl prezidentem akciové společnosti
Schichtových závodů, které patřily v období 1. poloviny 20. století
k předním producentům ve svém oboru na území monarchie.
Závody se specializovaly především na výrobu mýdla, svíček,
vodního skla, kartonážku, stearinku, gylcerinku a také
ovocných šťáv Ceres saft.
Původně rodinný podnik na výrobu mýdla založil v rodinném
domě v Rynolticích po polovině 19. století Georg Schicht.
Georgovi Schichtovi se přes řadu problémů podařilo udržet
firmu při životě a roku 1878 ji předat svým čtyřem synům. Hlavní
slovo v rodinném podniku záhy získal Johann Schicht, který
také roku 1882 přenesl, především z ekonomických důvodů,

Business success made Ignatz an important and wealthy citizen
of Ústí. However, he did not feel indifferent about the social
situation there. At the time of the crisis in 1900, he introduced
the manufacturing of briquettes from lower quality and cheaper
coal. In the 1930´s, he only sold coal to the city at overhead
cost, to make it possible to provide coal for Ústí inhabitants
cheaply. The Petschek family also funded many social
and health care facilities. Of the most important donations we
can name the building of the children’s section of the town hospital
(1897), the Children’s educational home for boys Na Kabátě
(1911), the tuberculosis sanatorium (1913) and a daily nursery
in Předlice (1930 – 1931).

Heinrich Schicht was a member of an important family of Ústí
entrepreneurs. From 1907, he was the president of Schicht´s
Works, the joint stock company, which in the mid 20th century
was one of the top producers in the empire in their area. His
works specialised particularly in producing soap, candles,
water glass, and also comprised a carton board shop, tristearin
and glycerine factory and also produced “Ceres saft” fruit juices.
The originally soap manufacturing family business was founded
by Georg Schicht in his house in Rynoltice in the mid 19th
century. Despite a number of problems, Georg Schicht managed
to keep the company going and in 1878, he left the company
to his four sons. Soon, the main say in the family business

Anglobanka und kurz danach wurde er zum bedeutenden
Teilhaber einer Reihe von Bergbaugesellschaften sowohl
in Tschechien als auch in Deutschland.
Die Geschäftserfolge machten einen bedeutenden und wohlhabenden
Aussiger Bürger aus Ignatz; trotzdem blieb ihm die soziale
Situation in Ústí nad Labem nicht gleichgültig. Während der
Krise im Jahre 1900 führte er die Produktion von Briketts aus
weniger wertvoller und damals günstigerer Kohle ein. In den
30er Jahren verkaufte er der Stadt Kohle nur für einen Selbstkostenpreis,
damit die Aussiger Arbeitslosen damit günstig versorgt
werden konnten. Die Petschek Familie unterstützte auch
eine Reihe Sozial- und Gesundheitsanlagen. Von den wichtigsten
Spenden nennen wir den Aufbau des Kinderpavillons im
Aussiger Krankenhaus (1897), weiter das Erziehungsheim für
Jungen Na Kabátě (1911), ein Erholungsheim für Kranke mit
Tuberkulose (1913) oder den Kindergarten in Předlice (1930 –
1931).

Heinrich Schicht war das Mitglied einer bedeutenden Familie
von Aussiger Industriellen. Seit 1907 war er der Präsident der
Aktiengesellschaft der Schichtwerke, die während der 1. Hälfte
des 20. Jahrhunderts zu den führenden Produzenten in ihrem
Bereich auf dem Gebiet der Monarchie gehörten. Die Schichtwerke
spezialisierten sich vor allem auf die Produktion von
Seife, Kerzen, Wasserglas, Kartonage, Stearin (Kerzenrohstoff),
Glycerin (Seifengrundsubstanz) und auch von Fruchtsäften
Ceres Saft.
Das ursprüngliche Familienwerk für Seifenproduktion gründete
Georg Schicht in einem Familienhaus in Rynoltice nach der
Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts. Trotz vieler Probleme gelang es
Georg Schicht, die Firma am Leben zu erhalten und sie im
