VĚTRUŠE
V roce 1839 náhodou objevil Johann Thomas na Soudném
vrchu silné základové zdi zaniklého hradu a ještě téhož roku
zhotovil stavební plán, který počítal se zkrášlením vrchu a s
vybudováním výletní restaurace. V roce 1847 byla stavba restaurace
dokončena a nesla jméno Ferdinandova vyhlídka,
podle tehdejšího českého krále a rakouského císaře Ferdinanda
V. Vznik dnešní stavby na Větruši se datuje o půl století
později. 13. července 1896 padlo v ústeckém Turistickém spolku
pro České
středohoří

již byly hotovy
podrobné stavební

Restaurace
na Ferdinandově
výšině
se brzy stala
centrem společenského života, kterým zůstala až do konce
šedesátých let 20. století. Poté nastalo období úpadku celého
objektu, které dovršila privatizace v 90. letech 20. století; stavba
měnila majitele a rychle chátrala. Osudným datem se stal 13.
červenec roku 2000, kdy střechu vyhlídkové věže pohltil požár.
Po koupi objektu městem se začalo s jeho obnovou, jejíž první
část byla dokončena v roce 2006. V současnosti je zpřístupněna
vyhlídková věž s restaurací v historické budově, v sousedství
bylo otevřeno zrcadlové bludiště. Zároveň byl odhalen
pomník Karla Eichlera, který se na konci 19. století zasloužil
nejen o vybudování současného objektu Větruše, ale také o
významný rozvoj turismu v celém Českém středohoří.

Johann Thomas happened to find the thick foundation walls of
an abandoned castle on Judgement Hill in 1839 and developed
a building plan in the same year, the objective of which was
to make the hill more attractive and to build an excursion restaurant.
In 1847, the construction of the restaurant was completed
and was named Ferdinand’s View, after the then Czech
King and Austrian Emperor, Ferdinand V. The current structure
of Větruše dates back to half a century later. On13 July
1896, a decision
was made by the
Tourist Association
for the Bohemian
Uplands in Ústí
nad Labem to
build a new structure
upon the design
by Alwin Köhler. A
month later the
detailed design
documentation
was already finished,
on 15 October
the core-stone
was laid and a year
after that, on 17
October 1897, the
whole project was
ceremonially completed.

The restaurant on
Ferdinand’s Hill
soon became the centre of social life and played this part until
the end of the 1960´s. After that, a period of decline of the
whole building started, due to privatization in the 1990´s. The
structure kept passing to new owners and very soon it fell into
decay. 13 July 2000 was a fatal date for Větruše when a fire
destroyed the roof of the observation tower. The city purchased
the property and initiated its reconstruction, the first phase of
which was completed in 2006. Nowadays, the observation
tower is open to the public as well as the restaurant in the historic
building and the nearby mirror labyrinth. In the same year,
a memorial was unveiled commemorating Karl Eichler, who
had merit in the building of the current Větruše and who had
also considerably encouraged the development of tourism in
the whole Bohemian Uplands at the end of the 19th century.
VĚTRUŠE (FERDINANDSHÖHE)
Im Jahre 1839 entdeckte Johann Thomas zufälligerweise an
der Anhöhe Soudný vrch starke Grundmauern einer verschwundenen
Burg und noch in demselben Jahr erarbeitete er einen
Bauplan, welcher mit einer Verschönung der Anhöhe, sowie
auch mit Bau eines Ausflugsrestaurants rechnete. Im Jahre
1847 wurde der Aufbau des Restaurants beendet und trug den
Namen Ferdinandova vyhlídka (Ferdinandshöhe), nach dem
damaligen böhmischen König und österreichischen Kaiser Ferdinand
V. Die Entstehung des heutigen Gebäudes auf Větruše
wird ein halbes Jahrhundert später zurückdatiert. Am 13. Juli
1896 wurde im Gebirgsverein Aussig für das Böhmische Mittelgebirge
über den Aufbau eines neuen Gebäudes nach dem
Projekt von Alwin Köhler entschieden, einen Monat später
waren bereits ausführliche Baupläne fertig, am 15. Oktober
wurde der Grundstein gelegt und ein Jahr später, am 17. Oktober
1897, wurde das ganze Bauwerk festlich beendet.
Das Restaurant an der Ferdinandshöhe wurde bald Zentrum
des gesellschaftlichen Lebens, sie ist es bis zum Ende der 60er
Jahre des 20. Jahrhunderts geblieben. Danach kam eine Periode
eines Verfalls des ganzen Objektes, welche mit der Privatisierung
in den 90er Jahren des 20. Jahrhunderts gekrönt wurde;
der Bau wechselte die Besitzer und verfiel dann schnell. Der 13.
Juli 2000 wurde für die Ferdinandshöhe fatal, als das Dach des
Aussichtsturmes vom einem Brand verschlungen wurde. Nachdem
die Stadt das Objekt gekauft hatte, wurde ein Umbau
begonnen, dessen erster Teil im Jahre 2006 beendet wurde.
Aktuell ist der Aussichtsturm mit dem Restaurant im historischen
Gebäude zugänglich; in der Nachbarschaft wurde das
Spiegellabyrinth eröffnet. Gleichzeitig wurde ein Denkmal für
Karel Eichler enthüllt, der sich am Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts
nicht nur um den Aufbau des heutigen Objektes Větruše (Ferdinandshöhe)
Verdienste erwarb, sondern auch um bedeutende
Entwicklung von Tourismus im ganzen Böhmischen Mittelgebirge.
