saská hranice byla započata nejprve odstřelem skal u Roztok a
Dolního Žlebu v říjnu 1847 a hloubením dvou podmokelských
tunelů v témže měsíci. První oficiální jízda se konala 21. prosince
1850. Konečně 6. dubna roku 1851 vyjel z pražského nádraží
slavnostní vlak, aby po několika příležitostných zastávkách
zastavil na nádraží v Podmoklech, kam kolem jedenácté hodiny
přijel vlak z Drážďan.
Ústecko-teplická dráha
První návrh na zřízení dráhy z Teplic přes Chabařovice a Ústí
nad Labem labským údolím do Drážďan pochází z roku 1838.
rody Nosticů z Trmic, Westphalenů z Chlumce a Clary – Aldrigenů
z Teplic, kterým by trať značně ulehčila dopravu uhlí v
oblasti, aby byla postavena železnice z Teplic do Trmic a Ústí
nad Labem.
Roku 1856 pak byla koncesována Společnost ústecko – teplické
dráhy (ÚTD) neboli Aussig – Teplitzer Eisenbahn Ge-
30
approved on 26 November
1842). In spring 1845, the first
section from Prague to Kralupy
was commenced. The wellestablished
building companies
of the brothers Klein and that of
Vojtěch Lanna were assigned
the building work. Up to 22 000
workers worked on the project.
The subsequent sections between
Kralupy – Lovosice, Lovosice
– Podmokly followed. At the
very end of 1847, work on an
embankment commenced in
Ústí. This rampart separated
Ústí from the River Labe.
In early 1850, the last completion
work was done in Ústí. The
first trial journey on the line
between Lovosice and Ústí nad
Labem took place on 15 August
1850, and on 1 October 1850 at
6:30 in the morning regular operation
started on the Lovosice –
Ústí line.
The building work on the railway line connecting Ústí nad
Labem to the Saxon border commenced with a rock blast near
Roztoky and Dolní Žleb in October 1847 and by cutting two
tunnels near Podmokly in the same month. The first official journey
took place on 21 December 1850. Finally, on 6 April 1851,
a ceremonial train left Prague railway station, and called at
several occasional stations before finally arriving at the railway
station in Podmokly, where a train from Dresden arrived
around eleven o’clock.
Ústí – Teplice line
The first proposal for the construction of a line from Teplice
across Chabařovice and Ústí nad Labem through the River
Labe valley to Dresden comes from 1838. This proposal was
supported by the Teplice town council and also a number of
those interested from Ústí nad Labem, but they failed to enforce
it. Goods were carried by carts pulled by horses directly to
trains waiting at the station in Ústí. In 1850, an application was
filed by the noble families of Nostiz of Trmice, Westphalen of
Chlumec and Clary – Aldrigen of Teplice, whom the line would
considerably help transport coal around the region, to build a
railway line from Teplice to Trmice and Ústí nad Labem.
