MUZEUM MĚSTA ÚSTÍ NAD LABEM
Ústecké muzeum vzniklo, podobně jako další muzea v severozápadních
Čechách, ve druhé polovině 19. století. Samotné
muzeum bylo zřízeno Živnostenským spolkem dne 6. května
1876 a dostalo název „Gewerbemuseum“. Jeho hlavním posláním
bylo seznamovat veřejnost s historií ústeckých podniků a
řemesel. Již od samého počátku však v muzeu vznikla tři samostatná
oddělení: sbírka uměleckého řemesla, přírodovědný
kabinet se sbírkou strojů a nářadí a posledním byla muzejní knihovna.
První sídlo muzea bylo v pronajatých prostorách hotelu
„Zlatá loď“ na rohu Hrnčířské ulice a ulice V Jirchářích, později
se přestěhovalo do Solní ulice (mezi kostely Nanebevzetí
Panny Marie a sv. Vojtěcha). Do roku 1884 se muzeum stěhovalo
sedmkrát.
Ve svých počátcích se muzeum soustřeďovalo především na
pořádání příležitostných výstav, pro stálé expozice nebyl dostatečně
velký sbírkový fond a prostory. Významný mezník v ději-

Similarly as with other museums in north-western Bohemia, the
city museum originated in the late 19th century. The museum
itself was established by the Trading Association on 6 May
1876 and was called the „Gewerbemuseum“. Its main objective
was to make the public acquainted with the history of city
businesses, trades and crafts. At the very beginning of the
museum, there were three separate departments: the collection
of art crafts, the cabinet of natural science with a collection
of machines and tools and the last was the museum library. The
first building where the museum was seated was in the rented
premises of the „Zlatá loď“ hotel (Golden Ship) at the corner of
Hrnčířská and V Jirchářích streets. Later, it moved to Solní
Street (between the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin
Mary and the Church of St. Adalbert). Up to 1884, the museum
was moved twice.

Das Aussiger Museum entstand, ähnlich wie andere Museen in
Nordwest-Böhmen, in der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts.
Das Museum selbst wurde vom Gewerbeverein am 6. Mai 1876
eingerichtet und bekam den Namen „Gewerbemuseum“. Seine
wichtigste Aufgabe war es, die Öffentlichkeit mit der Geschichte
der Aussiger Betriebe und Handwerke bekannt zu machen.
Schon von Anfang an jedoch entstanden im Museum drei selbstständige
Abteilungen: die Sammlung vom Kunsthandwerk,
das Naturwissenschaftskabinett mit einer Sammlung von
Maschinen und Werkzeug und die Museumsbibliothek. Der
erste Sitz des Museums war auf gemietetem Gelände des
Hotels „Zlatá loď“ an der Ecke der Straßen Hrnčířská und V Jirchářích,
später zog es in die Solní Straße (zwischen den Kirchen
Maria Himmelfahrt und des Hl. Vojtěch). Bis 1884 zog das
Museum sieben Mal um.
