Klinik laboratuarlar, sağlık hizmetlerinin önemli bir bileşenidir. Klinik laboratuarların
etkin, doğru ve güvenilir hizmetin üretim ve sunumunda gerekli kalite yönetim
uygulamalarını benimsemeleri önem kazanmaktadır. Modern kalite yönetimi
anlayışında laboratuar sonuçlarının kalitesi için tüm süreçlerin kontrol altına alınması
gerekmektedir. Preanalitik ve postanalitik süreçlerin kontrol altına alınması kadar
analitik sürecin de kontrol altına tutulması önemlidir. Çalışmamızda klinik laboratuar
süreçlerinin performansını izlemek ve değerlendirmek için her testin analitik süreç
yeterliliğini ve laboratuar süreçleri performansını değerlendirmeyi amaçladık.
Çalışmamızda 2010 Mart-Nisan-Mayıs aylarına ait iç kalite kontrol sonuçlarından
ve laboratuara başvuran hasta sonuçlarından yararlanıldı. İKK sonuçlarından
yararlanarak Altı Sigma metodolojisine göre analitik süreç yeterliliği, laboratuara
başvuran hasta sonuçlarından yararlanarak AON yöntemine göre laboratuar süreç
performansı değerlendirildi. Yaptığımız çalışmada Altı Sigma Metodolojisinin süreç
yeterliliğini tek rakamla ifade etmesi ve kolay uygulanabilir olmasından dolayı klinik
laboratuarlarda kullanımının yararlı olacağını, aynı şekilde bilgisayar kullanımının
yaygınlaşması ile rutin kalite kontrol uygulamaları ile birlikte maliyeti olmayan AON
prosedür uygulamasının da laboratuar süreçlerinin performans değerlendirmesinde
klinik laboratuara önemli katkılar sağlayacağını göstermektedir.
Clinical laboratories are one of the important components of health services. In the
efficient, accurate and reliable production and presentation of the clinical laboratory
service, it is important that the clinical laboratories take up the quality management
applications seriously. In the comprehension of modern quality management, it is
required that all the processes are under control for the good quality of laboratory
results. In our study, we aimed to evaluate the analytical process capability of each
test and the performance of the laboratory process. The internal quality control (IQC)
results of the months of March, April and May 2010, and the results of the patients
who have applied to the laboratory were used. ICQ results were used to evaluate the
analytical process capability using the Six Sigma Methodology and the patient results
were used to evaluate the performance of the laboratory process according to the AON
procedure. Our study demonstrated that the Six Sigma Methodology would be useful
to be used in clinical laboratories as it is easy to apply and it expresses the process
capability as a single number. In addition, our study also showed that the application
of the procedure of AON in clinical laboratories would be of great contribution to the
laboratory in the evaluation of the performance of laboratory processes as it, with the
widespread use of computers, could be used with routine quality control applications.
