The Meyer Site (AfGx-26)<br />

The Meyer site is on a 20 m high terrace overlooking<br />

a substantial river bar (Figures 6.2, 6.6, 6.7, 6.8). To<br />

date, 111 sq. m have been excavated. Over 800 post<br />

molds and 70 features form an extremely complex pattern<br />

(Figure 6.8). The feature and post fill were saved<br />

for flotation. Artifacts include high densities of<br />

chipped lithics, animal remains, and pottery. Cordwrapped<br />

stick-impressed pottery represents over 95<br />
