3 Master Chief Petty Officer of the <strong>Navy</strong> (MCPON)<br />

wears three chevrons and one rocker with three<br />

gold stars above the eagle and a single gold star<br />

in place of the specialty mark.<br />

(5) Collar insignia indicate the wearer's paygrade.<br />

(a) Petty Officers Third Class through First Class have<br />

two different types of collar devices.<br />

1 Anodized (highly polished) miniature collar<br />

insignia on:<br />

a <strong>The</strong> black relaxed fit jacket<br />

b <strong>The</strong> blue all-weather coat (raincoat)<br />

2 Sewn-on embroidered miniature sized device tapes<br />

on:<br />

a Coveralls<br />

b <strong>Navy</strong> Working Uniform shirt<br />

(b) E-2 through E6 personnel wearing the Service Uniform<br />

Khaki male Shirt or female Overblouse will wear<br />

anodized (highly polished) miniature collar devices on<br />

both shirt collar points.<br />

(c) Chief, Senior Chief, and Master Chief Petty Officers<br />

wear:<br />

1 Gold fouled (entangled) anchor with silver block<br />

letters “<strong>US</strong>N” superimposed on the shank of the<br />

anchor.<br />

2 One, two, or three silver stars are attached<br />

above the anchor stock to indicate:<br />

a Senior Chief<br />

b Master Chief<br />

c Master Chief Petty Officer of the <strong>Navy</strong><br />

3 Insignia on both collar points except for the<br />

shirts worn under the dress blue coat.<br />
