5. 9mm Pistol Characteristics<br />

a. Single or double action<br />

1) Double action—Allows the weapon to fire when the hammer is in<br />

the forward position. Pulling the trigger will cock the<br />

hammer and immediately release it, discharging the first<br />

chambered round.<br />

2) Single action—after first round is fired; the slide assembly<br />

will automatically cock the hammer to the fire the next<br />

round.<br />

3) In the simulator, you will only fire in the single action.<br />

b. Weight—Approximately 2.5 lbs.<br />

c. Maximum effective range—approximately 55 yards.<br />
