c. Trigger finger control<br />

1) Place your firing index finger on the trigger at the natural<br />

bending point on the finger.<br />

2) Apply smooth, continuous pressure rearward on the trigger<br />

until the round is fired.<br />

3) Do not ______________ the trigger or you will pull the shot<br />

d. Range <strong>Command</strong>s<br />

1) Range commands direct you to safely load, unload, and operate<br />

the 9mm pistol.<br />

2) At the simulator, there are five commands:<br />

e. Course of fire<br />

a) Lock and load (pistol only) –the pistol will be handed to<br />

you with the slide locked in the rear position. Pressing<br />

down on the _________ stop will release the slide to the<br />

forward position. This simulates _____________ a round<br />

in the chamber.<br />

b) Place the slide action in the forward position (shotgun<br />

only)—this will simulate a round being leaded into the<br />

c) Stand by (pistol only) —prepare to commence fire.<br />

the weapon up and firmly place the butt stock into the<br />

pocket of your shoulder.<br />

e) Commence fire (pistol)—bring your weapon up to sight in<br />

weapon off safe and fire at your target. (shotgun) –Fire<br />

at your target.<br />

f) Cease fire –stop firing, place your weapon on safe, and<br />

________________ to the standing ready position.<br />

1) Follow the yellow line into the simulator range, stop at your<br />

assigned booth number, and remain facing forward, however, do<br />

NOT cross the yellow line until told to do so.<br />

2) One through 30 on the left side of the range; 31 through 60<br />

on the right side. Stand at attention.<br />
