<strong>The</strong> <strong>Navy</strong>’s policies governing pregnancy and family care responsibilities are<br />

vital to ensure readiness and mission accomplishment. This lesson describes<br />

personal responsibilities in planning for a family, policies for pregnant<br />

servicewomen, and care for family members in respect to single parents or in<br />

cases where both parents are in the military.<br />
