(b) Individual Ready Reservists (IRR) are:<br />

1 NOT affiliated with a drilling unit.<br />

2 NOT paid for voluntarily training.<br />

3 Subject to involuntary recall by the SECNAV,<br />

president, or Congress.<br />

(2) Standby Reserve--Naval reservists who are NOT in a drilling<br />

status and:<br />

(a) Are subject to involuntary recall by the congress.<br />

(b) Do NOT receive pay unless recalled to active duty.<br />

(c) Are NOT eligible for advancement unless they train in<br />

a Voluntary <strong>Training</strong> Unit.<br />

(3) Fleet Reserve--Comprised of personnel who served on active<br />

duty for at least 20 years but no more than 30 years and:<br />

(a) Are NOT required to drill.<br />

(b) Are subject to involuntary recall by the SECNAV,<br />

President, or Congress.<br />

(c) Receive a percentage of their base pay as a pension.<br />

(d) Are transferred to the retired list after 30 years of<br />

total service.<br />

(4) Full-time Support (FTS) Reserve<br />

8. Application<br />

(a) <strong>The</strong>se reservists serve on full-time active duty in<br />

support of other Naval Reservists.<br />

(b) Members receive full active-duty pay the same benefits<br />

as regular <strong>Navy</strong> personnel.<br />
