A boy rings the bell at the house of a middle-class couple, claiming<br />
that he is the son of a fri<strong>en</strong>d of the woman of the house, and<br />
announcing his mother’s death. He <strong>en</strong>ds up moving in with the<br />
couple and, progressively, sows doubt in the household: is he really<br />
the son of the old fri<strong>en</strong>d? Was she a real fri<strong>en</strong>d? Does the couple<br />
<strong>en</strong>d up loving the boy or hating him? And do they ev<strong>en</strong> really know<br />
each other?<br />
Un garçon sonne chez un couple bourgeois, <strong>en</strong> disant être le fils<br />
d’une grande amie de la femme de la maison et <strong>en</strong> annonçant<br />
la mort de sa mère. Il finit par s’installer chez le couple et,<br />
progressivem<strong>en</strong>t, sème le doute dans le ménage: est-il le fils de cette<br />
vieille amie ? Était-elle une vraie amie ? <strong>Le</strong> couple finit-il par aimer<br />
le garçon ou bi<strong>en</strong> par le détester ? Et <strong>en</strong>tre eux, est-ce qu’ils se<br />
connaiss<strong>en</strong>t vraim<strong>en</strong>t tous les deux ?
