Entertainer Hans Müller is going through a crisis. His cynical jokes
are falling on deaf ears, and the obscene vocabulary he routinely
uses has begun to sound meaningless and empty. In an attempt to
escape the fear of emptiness that is overcoming him, he embarks
on a series of erotic escapades. Going nowhere fast, he commutes
between two women. On the one hand there is Eva Gruber, who
mourns her father and whom Hans fancies because of her own
moral ascetism. Then there is Elena Nowak, a Polish student, who,
like so many other women picked up after his performances, is now
proving difficult to get rid of. Hans is saved from his love trap by
an act of violence... In his new play, Martin Heckmanns deals ‘the
fun generation’ a fatal blow by taking it at its word. In doing so he
shows us the horrors which await us.
L’animateur Hans Müller est en crise. Ses plaisanteries cyniques ne
sont plus provocantes, le vocabulaire obscène avec lequel il jongle
quotidiennement ne fait plus d’effet. Pour échapper à l’angoisse
du vide qui l’envahit, il s’embarque dans une série d’escapades
érotiques. Dans une sorte d’immobilité vertigineuse, il balance entre
deux femmes. D’un côté, il y a Eva Gruber, en deuil de son père, et
que Hans désire à cause de son ascétisme moral, de l’autre côté,
il y a Elena Nowak, une étudiante polonaise qu’il a – comme tant
d’autres avant elle – draguée après son show et dont il ne peut plus
se détacher. Hans est sauvé de son piège relationnel par un acte de
violence ... Dans sa nouvelle pièce, Martin Heckmanns donne un
coup fatal à la « Fun Generation » en la prenant au mot tout en
dévoilant l’horreur qui nous attend après elle.
