Ferocious and unforgiving, a man writes his diary. The diary of a man who has retired from the world. The diary of a man who is getting ready for a bloody revolution. Because to him, nothing makes sense anymore and he feels that ideas have abandoned humankind. He writes because the disgust for his condition as a social being and consumed-consumer push him to find a different route; a way that could change the world completely. He writes. Worried and obsessed about his quest, this lonely man writes the diary of his new world, the one born from his fantasies. Day after day, we follow him closely, experiencing his errings and meeting the ghosts that haunt him. Date after date, we witness the brutal war he wages against his own, and share the horrible and ridiculous stories that litter his path. Terror, in a form not often seen on stage – that of a secret diary – questions theatre itself, its temporality, but also attempts to pick at the wounds of a Judeo-Christian society, which is thirsty for meaning and ideology. Between spoken word and literature, a micro-mythology is born. A man of ‘here and now’ attempts a violation of his body and soul. This is the ultimate transfiguration and the only remedy to the nothingness that the spectacle of human defeat inspires in him. Il écrit. Féroce et impitoyable, un homme écrit son journal. Le journal d’un homme retiré du monde. Le journal d’un être qui prépare une révolution sanguinaire. Parce que pour lui rien n’a plus de sens et que les idées ont quitté la vie des hommes. Il écrit. Parce qu’un grand dégoût de sa condition d’homme social, consommateurconsommable, le pousse à chercher un chemin capable de changer totalement la face du monde. Il écrit. Inquiet et obsédé par cette quête, cet homme seul, écrit dans sa chronologie, l’avènement de ce monde nouveau qui s’inscrit à même la peau de ses fantasmes... Dates après dates nous cheminerons côte à côte, nous visiterons ses errements et les fantômes trop charnels qui le hantent, dates après dates, nous serons témoins de la guerre brutale qu’il veut mener contre ses congénères, nous partagerons son récit de l’horrible et du clownesque qui jalonnent sa destinée. La Terreur, sous une forme inhabituelle – celle d’un journal intime- est une question formelle posée à l’art dramatique, à sa temporalité; mais plus loin, ce texte est une tentative de toucher aux blessures d’une société judéo-chrétienne en panne d’idéologie et de sens. Entre oralité et littérature, naît une micro-mythologie, celle d’un homme de l’ici et maintenant qui tente la profanation de son corps et de son âme, comme seul remède, une ultime transfiguration, au néant que lui inspire le spectacle de nos défaites.
