A monologue which begins in the Soviet Union where jeans and<br />
rock music were forbidd<strong>en</strong> and which continues in Belarus under<br />
the dictatorial regime where the hero and his fri<strong>en</strong>ds are kidnapped<br />
and arrested. Their symbol, jeans, comes from a small news story:<br />
Nikita Sasim, a young man, was beat<strong>en</strong> during a demonstration<br />
wearing the national Belarusian flag – he had tak<strong>en</strong> off his d<strong>en</strong>im<br />
T-shirt to turn it into a new, improvised flag. The play is an ode to<br />
any g<strong>en</strong>eration which dares to fight for its freedom.<br />
Un monologue qui comm<strong>en</strong>ce dans l’Union Soviétique où les jeans<br />
et la musique rock étai<strong>en</strong>t interdits et qui continue <strong>en</strong> Biélorussie<br />
sous le régime dictatorial où le héros et ses amis sont kidnappés<br />
et arrêtés. <strong>Le</strong>ur symbole, les jeans, vi<strong>en</strong>t d’un fait divers : Nikita<br />
Sasim, un jeune homme battu lors d’une manifestation parce qu’il<br />
portait le drapeau national biélorusse, avait <strong>en</strong>levé son t-shirt <strong>en</strong><br />
d<strong>en</strong>im pour <strong>en</strong> faire un nouveau drapeau improvisé. La pièce est une<br />
ode à toute génération qui ose lutter pour sa liberté.<br />
