Check calculation of the tests
Some of the tests were modeled with the FE program
ANSYS and recalculated. In these checks, both the failure
patterns and the deformations that occurred in the tests
could be modeled. The calculation clearly shows the high
loadbearing component from the transverse compression
of the concrete, induced by the restrained lateral strain of
the sheet in undercutsectional profi le geometries. This
transverse compression also causes high local tensile
stresses in the concrete on the outer corners of the upper
chords of the profi led sheets, which then lead to the longitudinal
crack formation described above.
