Summary The section relating to tourism policy includes a number of minor weaknesses continuing the above theme but also a fixation on coastal tourism with a lack of
recognition or acceptance of the significance of Snowdonia to our industry and the pressure that that is likely to place on Conwy in terms of development
demand in the Plan period as rural based tourism activity becomes increasingly important.
Change Sought: It is therefore important that para 4.119 not only considers the impact of tourism upon the environment but the impact upon the community.
