SECTION FOUR - SPATIAL POLICIES, KEY DIAGRAMS AND SUPPORTING DEVELOPMENT CONTROL POLICIES 4.2.3 Housing Need, 4.2.3.7 Rep No Name People Type 22428 Countryside Council for Wales (Mr Richard Ninnes) [1948] 1 Object Summary Whilst a review of green wedges seems to have been undertaken as part of the preparation of this Revised Deposit LDP, it is not clear whether the statement in paragraph 4.2.3.7 that some loss of "green wedges will be necessary to ensure deliverability of the Plan" refers to a loss of green wedge areas as part of the authority's review of green wedge policies and search for allocation sites, or whether the authority is actually stating that land designated as green wedge in this LDP will be lost to future development to meet the housing requirements of the LDP. Change Sought: To meet Test of Soundness CE1, we recommend that paragraph 4.2.3.7 is, therefore amended to provide greater clarification. 328

Clarification is sough regarding the deliverability of these sties in circumstances where the Council are understood to still be assessing their options in terms of school modernisation and whether the existing school sites will remain or be re-located. Change Sought: It is considered most appropriate for housing provision on these sites to be re-distributed to other proposed allocations which can be delivered during the Plan period. 329
