Summary The Plan removes the line of the by-pass from the proposals map. The LDP continues to make provision for a by-pass (initially in the form of link roads
serving the proposed housing and employments sites) but with the intention of forming a by-pass to the south and east of the town. As stated previously there
are no highways grounds for a by-pass but it remains the intent of the Council to secure, as a development led scheme, a by-pass to the south-east of the
Town. The plan is silent on whether it will be wholly within its lifespan.
Change Sought: That the proposals map be modified through the deletion of the route from the LDP.
Summary I object to the omission of the by-pass for Abergele.
Change Sought:
The current Deposit referes to improvements to the transport infrastructure, however, the infrastructure in Abergele and the surrounding area is at full
capacity and mere improvements or alterations will have little impact.
There are other examples where a bypass has proved to be the only method of alleviating traffic congestion.
Reconsider including the bypass in the Deposit LDP for the benefit of all concerned.
