The site can offer high quality design and energy efficiency in a sustainable location and within one of the key identified urban settlements. Failure to best use such sites for development is deemed to be unsound and unsustainable. We believe the vision should clearly state that the housing needs will be met in their entirety. The phrase "better met" does not give any clarity in terms of how the housing needs and requirements of the County will be dealt with. We believe it is inappropriate for the LDP Vision to make such an ambiguous reference to how the housing needs are requirements of the area will be dealt with, particularly given the important contribution housing makes to the economy and social fabric of society.
