Summary Mostyn Champneys Retail Park and Parc Llandudno are situated on the edge of Llandudno town centre and consist of principally large format retail stores.
Whilst, historically, retail policy has sought to distinguish the two retail parks in terms of the sale of permitted goods, such an approach is no longer
considered justified taking into account their very similar locational characteristics and functional linkage with the nearby historic town centre, together with the
level of available surplus comparison goods expenditure.
Change Sought: CFS/5 be amended to read as follows:
Mostyn Champneys Retail Park and Parch Llandudno Retail Park, as shown on the Proposals map, will be safeguarded to retain their essentially large format
character to complement the historic Primary Shopping Area of Llandudno. They will be safeguarded for essentially large format stores selling a range of
retail goods.
